Gamified Survey App

Scoop is a gamified survey platform designed to transform how users engage with feedback and insights. The idea emerged from addressing key challenges in traditional survey apps; boring experiences, unfair terminations without rewards, data manipulation, and limited earning opportunities. By rethinking rewards, streamlining the experience, and adding a fun, engaging layer, Scoop aims to keep users motivated while delivering higher-quality data.

We identified three major challenges: boring survey experiences, poor data reliability, and lack of fair rewards. To tackle these, we mapped 4–5 key touchpoints, including survey discovery, participation, compensation, and post-completion access. Each flow was designed to be intuitive, engaging, and seamless, minimizing drop-offs while maximising user satisfaction.

To make Scoop more relatable and fun, we introduced Scoopy; a custom-designed mascot who guides users through their journey. Scoopy brings personality to the app, appearing in different illustrated environments during onboarding and beyond. This companion-driven approach made the onboarding process highly visual, friendly, and memorable, helping users form an emotional connection with the platform.

Survey-taking was reimagined by studying various question formats and rethinking how responses could be captured. Each interaction was designed to feel fresh, intuitive, and engaging, transforming traditional question types into playful, easy-to-answer formats that keep users motivated to continue.

I led project management and actively contributed to ideation and validation sessions. My focus was on translating concepts into visual design and ensuring coherence across the app’s identity. The project team included a game designer, illustrator, animator, and UX designer, working collaboratively to bring Scoop to life.
